The mega star of Malayalam films Mammootty has Poonam Bajwa, the 21 year Punjabi who is also heroine in Telugu and Tamil films, as the heroine for the bilingual in Kannada and Malayalam ‘Shikari’.

‘Shikari’ Kannada film will have some other title in Malayalam because recently there was a film of the name ‘Shikaar’ in Malayalam starring Mohanlal.

Poonam Bajwa who made debut in a Kannada film as sister to Darshan in ‘Thangigaagi’ later acted in Premante Inthe, Boss I Love You, Veduka, Paragu, Tenavattu, Kacheri Arambam, Thambikottai and other south Indian films.

As of now director Abhay Simha of ‘Gubbachigalu’ fame in Kannada has completed second schedule near Thirthahalli for producer K Manju’s bilingual film. It was 26 days long schedule and major talkie portions have come to an end. Abhay Simha has to complete 15 more days of shoot for his bilingual. In November the final schedule of ‘Shikari’ will be held in Mysore.

V Harikrishna has scored the music. Innocent of Malayalam films plays villain in this film with supporting cast Mohan, Aditya, Achyuth, Ninasam Ashwath, Sharath Lohitashva and others.
